'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League comeback
Kane achieves his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his enthusiasm in coming back to the Premier League has diminished and he is open to negotiate a new agreement with Bayern Munich.
The star striker is at the moment midway through the four-year agreement he agreed to when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the summer of 2023.
The experienced forward has accumulated an outstanding 103 goals in 106 matches for the German side, playing a key role in them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which was the initial important achievement of his distinguished career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would be pleased to see Kane come back to England, where he requires 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring milestone of 260.
However, the England captain has now indicated that he is no longer as keen about returning home as he previously was, and would definitely contemplate extending his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could certainly see that," he commented.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be open to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so goes and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not thinking about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."
Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the all-time top scorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, attaining the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had avoided him until he lifted the German title last season.
Kane admits that he was not sure how he would respond after ending his trophy drought, but now thinks it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
