I will overwhelm 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Former two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making substantial paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As both boxers engaged in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
